Accomplished: WPDesigners One Month Challenge on WordPress Themes

Articles about WordPress ThemesSmall Potatoes of WPDesigner has completed the task of a WordPress Theme a day for the past month, as of tomorrow.

Amazing. And what makes this Ridiculously Mind-Numbing WordPress Self-Challenge even more of an accomplishment is the release of WordPress 2.1 in the middle of the challenge, bringing with it new WordPress template tags and features to screw up the process.

While not all of the WordPress Themes Small Potatoes has done are WordPress 2.1 ready, there are some beautiful and very distinctive designs. He admits he will go through and clean these up a little better to make them WordPress 2.1 and Widget ready after the challenge is through.

Small Potatoes amended the 30 day challenge to 31 days to beat a previous challenger to the WordPress Theme Design Throne, but I challenge him to come up with one more for 32 days, to really put someone else to the test.

What I’m really looking forward to is a summary of what was learned, what expectations were cracked apart, and a good list of tips and techniques for WordPress Theme designers and tweakers around the WordPress Community. I’m in the middle of my own month long self-challenge on WordPress Plugins and I’ve got a lot of lessons I’ve learned to share with you when this is done. You better stand back. ;-)

Kudos, congrats, and high praises for this great accomplishment, Small Potatoes. Really good work.
